On April 11, 2025, officers from the Corning Police Department conducted a parole search at a residence on W. Main Street in Corning.

During the search, officers discovered a glass pipe containing residue that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine on the parolee.

Bobby Buckhanan, a 38-year-old resident of Corning, was arrested and transported to the Clay Detention Center. Mr. Buckhanan faces charges of § 5-64-419 possession of controlled substance schedule one less than 2 grams, a class D felony, and § 5-64-443 possession of drug paraphernalia D felony. On April 14, 2025, Judge David Goodson found probably cause for the above listed charges and set bond for Mr. Buckhanan at $15,000 cash or surety.
