Authorities report a woman from Springfield Missouri who is homeless was arrested in Izard County after an agent with the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force discovered she was fraudulently obtaining pharmaceuticals.

The affidavit filed April 7th, law enforcement authorities were contacted by a pharmacy in Melbourne reporting that on March 21st, a female claiming to be Sara Walsh called in a prescription fraudulently using the name of a Harrison physician along with the doctor’s Drug Enforcement Administration number.

The suspect identified as Ashley Zellefrow, age 33 then arrived at the pharmacy on March 24th and picked up a prescription for Promethazine-Codeine cough syrup, a Schedule V controlled substance.

After filling the prescription, the pharmacy was contacted by the physician stating she had not issued this prescription.

Zellefrow returned to the pharmacy on April 5th to refill the prescription again, authorities were notified.

Zellefrow was arrested maintaining her name was Sara Walsh.

Her real identity was later discovered.

Zellefrow admitted she was the person who had picked up the prescription, and attempted to pick up the second.

Zellefrow told authorities she and others do this to resale the codeine-based cough syrup.

Zellefrow was charged with two felonies and her bond was set at $10,000.
