Authorities report a high-speed pursuit that ended with a Louisiana man in jail.
Law enforcement in Jackson County pulled over 45-year-old Daniel Bedgood, when officers asked him to get out of the vehicle, the subject fled on Highway 367.
Authorities say the chase reached more than 110 mph as it crossed into Lawrence County.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified of the chase shortly before 9:30pm as it entered Lawrence County. LCSO deployed spike strips on Hwy 367 near Lawrence 520. Bedgood’s vehicle was disabled by the strips and crashed near the railroad tracks in Hoxie.
Bedgood was treated by MedicOne and Hoxie Fire Department First Responders for his injuries sustained during the wreck, the arrested and transported back to Jackson County.
Bedgood was charged with fleeing, DWI and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
