Velda Mae Rasdon, 78 of Pocahontas, died March 26, 2025, in the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. 

Born February 20, 1947, in Oklahoma City, OK; daughter of the late Joe and Kathryn Mintes Pulver. She was united in marriage to Charles Rasdon in February 6, 1965. Velda was a homemaker and a loving mother. She enjoyed being outside, collecting dolls, working puzzles, and playing Bingo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a son, Kenneth Rasdon; a sister, Janice Garner; and five brothers, Nick, Sunny, Tommy, Billy, and Mike.

Survivors include her two daughters, Carolyn Taylor (Richard) of Fort Smith; and Tina Burgess (Boonie) of Pocahantas; two sons, Charles Ray Rasdon Jr. of Fort Smith and Edward Rasdon (Charolette) of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Kathryn Ghere (Penny) of Little Rock; two brothers, Edward Pulver (Cathy) Dell City, OK, and James Pulver of Fort Smith; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. in the Sharum Cemetery near Pocahontas with Bro. William Tunstall officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard Taylor Jr., Charles Taylor, Cory Clark, Chad Burgess, Chris Burgess, Jacob Brooks, Shawn Rasdon, and Blake Rasdon. 

Visitation will be Saturday, from 12 P.M. till 2 P.M. in the Northside Freewill Baptist Church in Pocahontas. 

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made to help with the funeral expense at the Bryan Funeral Home.
