Corning Police say on December 30, 2024, the Corning Police Department received a report of terroristic threatening. The victim alleged that her ex-boyfriend sent her videos threatening physical harm, bodily injury, and death.

Following a review of these videos, an officer obtained an arrest warrant signed by District Judge Dan Stidham on January 10, 2025.

Due to the subject’s residence outside the area, he was apprehended on March 18, 2025, by Arkansas Probation and Parole, and subsequently transported to the Clay County Detention Center by the Corning Police Department.

Shane Owens, a 33-year-old resident of Powhattan, Arkansas, has been charged with Terroristic Threatening, a Class D felony, on March 19, 2025. Clay County District Judge Dan Stidham found probable cause to charge Mr. Owens and set his bond at $10,000 cash
