On March 11th, 2025, at approximately 5:00 P.M. the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept. made a traffic stop at the Post Office parking lot on Bob Cat Lane in Corning.

The deputy came in contact with 47 yr. old Gerald Eugene Jackson of Corning. The deputy learned that Mr. Jackson was on Probation and had search waiver on file. The deputy informed Mr. Jackson he was going to search the vehicle.

When the deputy entered the vehicle, he contained a white substance that tested positive for Meth.

Mr. Jackson was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center and booked in on the following charges. Possession of SCH I or II LT 2GM, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Window Tint.
