Larry G.T. Evans, 76, of Lynn, entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 20, 2025, at the Arkansas Hospice Unit at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 20, 1948, in Eaton to the late Monroe G.T. and Ruby (Raney) Evans. He was employed as a manufacturing manager at Skil for thirty-five years. After retiring from Skil, Larry worked at LA Darling in Paragould as a consultant for two years. He was a member of the Lynn Church of Christ and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He also enjoyed fishing and was dedicated to working on his farm.
Larry deeply loved his family and was always there for every one of them. He loved his friends and enjoyed visiting with them daily. He never missed a family event and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were special to him. Larry will be missed by many that loved him but we all look forward to seeing him and his big blue eyes again someday. He was a dad, brother, “Paw Pa Larry”, uncle, friend, and most of all, a brother in Christ.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his children, Theresa (Philip) Landers of Cave City, Randy (Michelle) Evans and Nick (Renee) Evans both of Lynn; sister, Rubyneal and Ed Pfitzner of Cave City; brothers, Dennis (Twyla) Evans and Ronnie (Kathy) Evans both of Lynn; grandchildren, Tamara (Cody) Harris, Benjamin (Karen) Landers, Colman (Jessica) Evans, Madison (Patrick) Holland, MaKayla Evans (Parker Foster), Peyton Evans (Cory Kunkel); step-grandchildren, Makayla (Chris) Raney and Haydan Callahan both of Lynn; great-grandchildren, Zane, Owen, Graham and Rubyanna Harris, Cole, Whitley, and Camden Evans, Asher and Ryland Foster and Caroline Holland; step-great grandchild, Hunter Raney; special friend, Kay Wilson, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Benjamin Landers, Colman Evans, Mitchell Evans, Cody Harris, Trea Evans, and Shane Evans.
Honorary pallbearers are Ed Pfitzner, Ronnie Evans, Dennis Evans, Zane Harris, Owen Harris, Graham Harris, Cole Evans, Camden Evans, Charles Penn, Nathan Howard, Danny Martin, James Davis, Mike Shelton, Dario Nanni, Larry Rainwater, Cory Kunkel, Patrick Holland, Parker Foster, Randall Gawf, L.M. Duncan, and Ed Baker.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ. Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ. Kenny Townsley and Philip Landers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Old Lebanon Cemetery in Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Military honors will be rendered.
