On February 8th, 2024, at approximately 7:04 P.M. the Clay County Sheriffs Dept. received a 911 call reporting an altercation at 414 CR 453, southwest of Pollard.

When the Sheriffs Dept. arrived, they came in contact with a female who lived at that address.

Deputies were advised of what had happened in the altercation and advised that the male subject had broken her dog’s jaw before he left.

At approximately 10:11 P.M. the Sheriffs Dept. received another 911 call from the female at the residence, she advised the subject was outside her house. The deputies arrived back at her residence at approximately 10:12 P.M. The male subject could not be located by the deputies.

The deputies had to leave and answer another call in Pollard.

At approximately 2:26 A.M. February 9th, The Sheriffs Dept. received another 911 call. The lady advised that the subject had returned to her residence and slashed all the tires on her vehicle. The deputies arrived back at the residence at approximately 2:36 A.M.

The deputies could not locate the subject but parked down the road from the residence. The deputies then walked back to the residence and stayed until daylight.

At daylight Sheriff’s deputies from night, and day shift went into the woods beside the house. At approximately 7:05 A.M. the deputies located the subject in the woods and took him into custody. 45yr. old Ronnie Allen Duren was transported to the Clay County Detention Center and booked in on the following charges. Terroristic Threatening-I St. Degree/Threatening Physical Injury, Criminal Mischief-I st Degree/Property of Another W/Value Over $1000 But $5000 Or Less, Stalking, Cruelty to Animals and Harassment.
