Authorities report a Randolph County jailer has been charged with multiple charges after investigators said he pinned a female coworker against her will at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

25-year-old Ty Lindsey of Williford was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 5th charged with suspicion of harassment, public sexual indecency, and second-degree false imprisonment.

On Jan. 22, while Ty Lindsey was employed at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, he asked another jailer to go into the X-ray machine room with him. The victim told the jail administrator that Lindsey “pinned her against the wall” and then pressed his body against hers.

She claimed he said, “If you had one hour with me, what would you want to do?” The victim said she pushed the suspect away and walked out of the room.

The report stated that Ty Lindsey resigned from the RCSO the next day according to records.

Ty Lindsey admitted during a mirandized interview t II the accusations but said “he didn’t mean it sexually and saw nothing wrong with it.”

Ty Lindsey stated to investigators that he did resign the next day because he knew he would get in trouble for sexual harassment according to the report.
