Arkansas State Police reports the arrest of two people after a traffic stop on Hwy 49 where troopers seized several guns and illegal drugs.

Authorities stopped a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe for a traffic violation Jan. 29th on Hwy 49 near the Hwy 412 intersection in Paragould.

Law enforcement discovered 19 firearms, marijuana, and methamphetamine.

According to the ASP, one of the firearms, a Ruger 22 revolver, had a defaced serial number. Another firearm, a Ruger .223 rifle, was also stolen from Alabama.

The driver William Cook, age 51 of Little River, Alabama, and his passenger, Tracy Riley age 54 of Paragould.

Cook was arrested and is being held in the Greene County Detention Center on suspicion of possession of a defaced firearm, possession of controlled substances, theft by receiving, and multiple traffic violations.

Riley was also arrested and charged with possession of controlled substances. Riley was also transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
