On January 14th, 2024 an agent with the Attorney General’s Special Investigation Unit
met with the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept.
The agent advised the Sheriff’s Dept. of an
individual in Clay County who was viewing, and sending sexually explicit material involving a child.
The agent wanted to coordinate with the Sheriff’s Dept. to execute a search warrant on the subject’s residence.
On January 21st at approximately 10:15A.M. a search warrant was executed on a residence west of Rector on County Road 406.
36 yr. old Joseph M. Parrish was taken into custody, and transported to the Clay County Detention Center.
Mr. Parrish was booked in on the following charges.
Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child X 100 Counts, Pandering or Possessing Visual or Print Medium Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child X100 Counts.
Mr. Parrish is being
held on a 2 Million Dollar Bond.
