At 1:23am on Wednesday the Lawrence County Dispatch received notification of a high speed pursuit entering Lawrence County from Craighead County with officers in pursuit of a vehicle at speeds of 120 mph.
The pursuit is said to have started in Poinsett County and traveled through Craighead before entering Lawrence.
Officers from Walnut Ridge and Hoxie staged along Hwy 63 as officers from Lawrence County joined in the pursuit that passed through Hoxie at 1:27 am at speeds of 110 mph.
The pursuit continued through Portia and Black Rock. Officers set up spike strips near the Rest Area on Hwy 63 but the suspect vehicle avoiding the strips and continued north on Hwy 63.
At 1:37 am the pursuit entered Imboden when officers initiated a maneuver disabling the suspect vehicle on Hwy 63 near Kentucky Street.
One suspect was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center.
No injuries were reported, one Sheriff’s Office vehicle was reportedly damaged.
No suspect information or formal charges have been released at this time.
Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was requested to recover the suspect vehicle.
