Dennis Eugene Smith, 69 of Alicia passed away December 17, 2024, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born May 29, 1955, in Newport, to the late Walter and Audrey Golden Smith. He was united in marriage to Paula Downum on February 25, 1977. Dennis spent most of his life working as a farmer. In his spare time, he was an outdoor enthusiast and an animal whisper, who loved deer hunting, raising quails, guineas, and squirrels.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Coot Smith and Charles Smith; and one sister, Hessie Stanley.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Smith of the home; one son, Wesley (Kortney) Smith of Paragould; two daughters, Tiffany (Jeremy) Parker of Powhatan, and Brittany (Chris) Johnston of Alicia; five grandchildren, Braxtan Blackburn, Ryland and Emrie Parker, Brycelyn Johnston, and Kinsley Smith; two squirrels, Nuts and Nuggets; one cat, Huck; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be Sunday December 22, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Bryan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to assist the family with medical and funeral expenses can be made at the First Horizon Bank or the Bryan Funeral Home.
