Roger Dean Taylor, 66, of Powhatan, died December 15, 2024, at his residence following and lengthy illness.
Born August 14, 1958, in Walnut Ridge, son of Carl L. and Lula Mashburn Taylor. He was a Truck Driver for Lawrence County and a minister, preaching at the Portia Assembly of God church. Roger served his country in the Army National Guard. He loved the Lord, his family, going fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl; his 1st wife, Nancy Taylor; his 2nd wife, Jewel Taylor; two siblings, Sandra and Tony Taylor.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal (David) Allen of Powhatan; his son, Tim Taylor of Powhatan; six grandchildren, Meagan, River, Logan (Mandy), Camdyn (Fabi), Elijah, and Korey; two great grandchildren, Londyn and Archie; his mother, Lula Taylor of Portia; three brothers, David (Susan) Taylor of Smithville, Donnie Taylor of Walnut Ridge, and Terry (Patty) Taylor of Atkins; three sisters, Linda Webb of Powhatan, Judy (Terry) McCain of Portia, Vicky Taylor of Clover Bend; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 2 P.M. in the Imboden Assembly of God church with Pastor Dillon Ham officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Chappel, Dereik, Travis, Zach and Cody Taylor. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Powhatan Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 P.M. till 7 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie.
