Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, in collaboration with the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and Design Connects, is thrilled to co-organize the U.S. Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia under the theme “PORCH: An Architecture of Generosity.”
The exhibition celebrates the porch as a quintessential American architectural space, a place that fosters connection, resilience, and a sense of community.
We invite architects, designers, artists, nonprofits, public agencies, and individuals across the U.S. and its territories to submit built projects that reflect this iconic typology. The pavilion will feature at least 50 participants, showcasing projects that span scales, geographies, and histories.
Submissions are open now through January 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. Exhibit selections will be announced on February 3, 2025, with the U.S. Pavilion debuting on May 10, 2025.
