Darlene Starr (Cooper) Matheny left this earthly life on November 21st, 2024 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. She was born December 7th, 1955 in Aurora, Illinois to Buel and Marie Cooper. Darlene was married to her husband Terry for 47 years and was a homemaker and stay at home mother to her 3 children. She enjoyed taking pictures, planting flowers, and loved taking care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buel and Marie Cooper; father by love Mack Matheny; brothers Dennis Cooper and Bill Bellah (Betty); niece Alesia Corey and 1 beloved unborn grandchild.
Darlene is survived by her husband Terry Matheny; mother by love Barbara Matheny; sister Raetta McGuire (Jimmy); sister by love Buddy (Dennis) Cooper; brothers Jerry (Sherri) Matheny and Doug (Melanie) Mathery; sisters by love Sheleace (Ricky Jones) Gann, Sue (Tim) Dail; her children Rusty (Christian) Hale, Marcus (Valerie) Matheny, Ty (Chelsea) Matheny, and 10 beloved grandchildren, Zoey, Riley, Cooper, and Olivia Hale, Kayla, Cash, and Coy Matheny, Hayden, Tate and Presley Matheny.
Friends, family and loved ones are invited to join a celebration of her life on December 5th, 2024 at Imboden Baptist Church from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
