On November 8, 2024 at approximately 7:15am, Cleburne County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a house on Altom Road in Drasco for a disturbance. When deputies arrived, they located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies rendered aid to the male until medical personnel arrived on scene, and he was then transported by helicopter for further medical treatment.

Detectives arrived on scene and began to investigate the circumstances that led to the shooting. The male’s live-in girlfriend, identified as Rebecca Mryglod, 37 of Drasco, was taken into custody and transported to the Cleburne County Jail. Official charges have not been filed yet, but she’s currently being held in jail for Attempted 1st Degree Homicide, 1st Degree Domestic Battery, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms. Bail has not yet been set by a Judge.

This is currently an ongoing investigation, so no further details are being released at this time. Additional press releases will be published as information becomes available.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
