Mitchell-Smith is a 2024 graduate of Pocahontas High School. She is the daughter of Steven Mitchell and the grand-daughter of Cyndi Mitchell. She is married to Alexander Smith. She is seeking a degree in nursing.
The Keith Sutton Memorial Scholarship was created in the memory of the late Keith Sutton, who was the Mayor of Pocahontas, by his wife Stephanie and their family and friends. Mayor Sutton served his community in many ways. He dedicated three decades to his auto body repair business, Auto Efx., before running for mayor. In 2018, Sutton was elected Mayor of Pocahontas, and he held this position until his passing in December 2023.
