Authorities believe a double murder and suicide were the circumstances behind the death of three people found deceased on Monday in Pocahontas.
Pocahontas Police responded to a residence on Hospital Drive around 7:45 am on Monday after family had gone to check on the residents after they were unable to reach them on Sunday.
Once family arrived at the residence and realized something was not right, they alerted authorities.
Pocahontas Police arrived on scene, discovered three deceased individuals and secure the scene.
Arkansas State Police were then requested for assistance in the investigation.
Authorities say the incident was a double murder and suicide that occurred on Sunday, Nov. 3rd. sometime after noon.
Authorities say the father killed both his wife and his 14-year-old son before taking his own life.
Authorities identified the deceased adult male as Nick Dawsey, the deceased female was identified as Hannah Dawsey, the 14-year-old victim’s identity was not released.

Pocahontas Police announced on Monday that three people were found dead in a home in Pocahontas on Monday.
A press release from the Pocahontas Police Department stated they’ve requested assistance from Arkansas State Police after three people were found deceased inside a home on Monday morning, Nov. 4th.
Pocahontas Police stated that “Based on evidence at the scene, police are not looking for any other suspects,”
