The Greene County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the United States Marshals Service recently and participated in the nationwide USMS Operation Trick or Treat 2. This operation’s intent was to conduct compliance checks on registered sex offenders. The USMS press release is attached with further information.
Sex Offender Coordinator Deputy Shane Martin, Patrol Deputies, and U.S. Marshals conducted compliance checks on thirty-two registered sex offenders residing in rural Greene County and the city of Marmaduke, with Marmaduke Police assisting there. Statistics from the operation include:
29 compliant offenders
3 non-compliant offenders
4 arrests
3 cited for drug/paraphernalia offenses
2 firearms seized
1 compound bow seized
