Debra Diane Vandergriff, 71, of Ravenden Springs entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at her residence. She was born May 28, 1953, in Pocahontas to Preston and Barbara (Inness) Brown. She was employed at Brown Shoe Company, Oak Ridge Central School District, and 1st Choice Healthcare during her life. Debra was a member of the McIlroy Church of Christ in Pocahontas. She was involved in the Herbal Club and Five Rivers Bee Club. Debra’s passion was her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and seeing old houses. 

Debra was preceded in death by her father, Preston Brown; father-in-law, Clay Vandergriff; brothers-in-law, Eddie Sharp, Vern Vandergriff, and David James; and sister-in-law, Margaret Vandergriff.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Vandergriff of 32 years of the home; mother, Barbara Brown of Pocahontas; children, Angie Marshall (James) of Hot Springs, Adam Ballard (Elizabeth) of Pocahontas, Amber Rahman (Faisal) of Rogers, and Casey Mathis (Larry) of Pea Ridge; siblings, Doris Sharp, David Brown (Pam), Donna Hibbard (Tom), Dana Brown all of Pocahontas, Danny Brown (Lora) of Ravenden, and Dennis Brown (Megan) of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Kelsey Wollos (Tim), Kyler Shanks, Armani Marshall, Natalie Ballard, Aidan Ballard (Kaberlin), Ashtin Ballard, Alaina Rahman, Eli Rahman, Devin Mathis (Laura) and Kayleigh Mathis; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Conner, Bryant, Brooke, Walker Lee, Emma Jo, and soon-to-be great- grandson, Bryer; and many other family members and friends. 

Visitation will be on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at McIlroy church of Christ in Pocahontas with funeral services following immediately at 12 p.m. Josh Dement will officiate. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in the Hamil Community under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
