Recently Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton had the honor of presenting a $1000 check to the Calico Rock School and ICC School from the Arkansas Sheriff’s Association (ASA).
Both schools applied for a grant through the ASA for Red Ribbon Week and were chosen to receive the funds. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the largest drug abuse prevention campaign in the United States. Both schools will use the monies received to further education about drug abuse for students.
