Ellie Malaine Heinzman, age 5 of Hoxie, passed Monday, September 30, 2024, at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN from complications of treatment for pediatric neuroblastoma.
She was born August 9, 2019, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Jamie Heinzman and Victoria (Swartzlander) Heinzman.
Ellie was “The Boss.” Smart, sassy, spicy, sweet, silly, kind and wise beyond her years. She loved animals, including all of her pets, creating art, playing music, singing and dancing. Ellie was an accomplished cook in her play kitchen, creating unique dishes for everyone she loved. She loved watching her daddy and his friends wrestle. Watching their matches and special videos of support got her through some of the toughest battles. Ellie most enjoyed spending cherished time with her family & loved ones. She was a warrior, a true champion and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ellie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kim David Swartzlander; grandmother, Tammie Heinzman; Papa Richard Dale Russell; Oma Virginia Martin; great grandfathers, James Debow and Lugene Maple; great uncle, Danny Keith; and great-grandfather, Ken Frary.
She is survived by her parents, Jamie and Victoria (Swartzlander) Heinzman and brother, Charlie Wiles Heinzman, all of the home; her Mamaw, Danielle Russell; PopPop, Dakota Krueger; Pepaw, Jerry Heinzman; Pappy, Wil Brandon; MawMaw, Gerri Frary; Granny, Redda Russell (Orvis Swift); grandma, Linda Debow; grandma, Ruth Maple; great grandparents, Rod and Leanne Krueger; uncle, Jackson Russell; aunt Bridget (Phishon) Bass; great aunt & uncle, Bridget & Dennis Downs; great aunt Juliet Keith; great aunt, ‘Nonna’ Lisa McIntire; aunts & uncles: Jerod & Christina Whitmire, RD & Di McIntire, Ruth Ann Heinzman (Jason) Matthews, Misty Rijo (Caesar Blanco), Amanda Lash and Jim Debow; cousins, Jennifer, Jason & Violette Keith, Jesse & Bo Moore; J’Shenna White; James & Miss Audra McIntire and her Outta Control Wrestling (OCW) family. Ellie is survived by many other friends, relatives and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Memorial services will be held in the House-Gregg Funeral Chapel, Saturday October 5, 2024, beginning at 10:00AM.
A Celebration of Life potluck will follow immediately at Lake Charles State Park and everyone is welcome. The family requests that everyone dress in bright colors for Ellie!
Ellie’s family would like to acknowledge all the special people who cared for her at St. Jude and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation for everyone, far and wide, who supported Ellie on her journey. All the gifts, thoughts and prayers were felt and appreciated. Ellie strong!
