Lawrence County Library will be launching a new season of Reading Dragons and Friends, beginning on Monday, September 16. The trackers and cards will be available at all three Lawrence County Library Branches. The main branch is located at 115 W. Walnut St. in Walnut Ridge, Bobbie Jean Memorial Library at 102 Hendrix in Imboden and Driftwood Branch Library at 28 S. Highway 25 in Lynn These cards can be used to play two games, and instructions will be included with the reading trackers. The incentive program will run through Saturday, November 16, ending with a Reading Dragons tournament at 10:00 am on 11/16 in the Lawrence County Meeting Room, also located at 115 W. Walnut St. in Walnut Ridge. Each week, participants who log two hours of reading time can pick up a themed set of four Reading Dragon cards. New cards will be released weekly, beginning on September 16th with a special holographic Beatles themed dragon, Yellow Submarine, designed by Willa Berry to commemorate the Beatles at the Ridge celebration on Sept. 21 in Walnut Ridge.
