A Lawrence County man with a nearly two dozen bookings has been arrested in Sharp County and charged with rape, a class Y felony.
On Sept. 2nd, Franklin Carothers, age 34 of Lynn was booked into the Sharp County Detention Center.
Court documents state the charges are from a Feb. 6th 2024 incident that accuses Carothers of committing rape, engaging in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with another person by forcible compulsion with an enhancement (Class Y) as a result of Carothers having convictions or found guilty of four or more felonies.
Carothers bond was set at $150,000. He is currently incarnated in the Sharp County Detention Center.
