Authorities report a Sharp County man was arrested in Stone County after leading deputies on a high-speed chase.

Timothy Edward Harmon age 58 of Sidney was arrested and taken to the Stone County Jai after authorities say he followed a woman to her home, with the woman’s ex-boyfriend.

Law enforcement was called to the scene, the ex-boyfriend was arrested on outstanding warrants. Harmon continued to argued with deputies and refused to leave.

The deputies finally told Harmon he was under arrest, and that’s when Harmon fled in a vehicle.

The chase reached speeds nearly 100 mph according to reports.

Harmon was eventually stopped near the Independence County Line and arrested after a struggle.

Harmon is charged with felony fleeing, and misdemeanor resisting arrest and obstructing governmental operations.

His bond was set at $15,000
