Flora B. Bice, 78 of Lake City, died Monday August 19, 2024 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.
She was born June 22, 1946 in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Roy McMahan & Fannie Gillbreath.
Flora was a dedicated homemaker, mother, and wife. She was a very intelligent woman with a keen sense of humor, a hard worker, and a friend to all. She loved gossipping and writing poetry and novels. She made the best rolls & cathead biscuits and loved being outdoors and taking care of her yard and chickens. She could grow the prettiest roses. Flora was protective of her babies and those in her life will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Fannie; husband, James Bice, Sr.; sister, Joan Leonard; son-in-law, Heath Bass; and brother, Charles McMahan.
Flora is survived by her sons, Jame (Alicha) Bice Jr. and Richard Bice; daughter, Ginger (Jerry) Rodgers; sister, Jeanie Peppers; adopted children, Mathew (Sandra) Leonard; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
A visitation will be held Friday August 23, 2024 from 11:30AM-12:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Funeral services immediately follow visitation, beginning at 12:00PM in the funeral chapel at House-Gregg in Walnut Ridge with Wayne Herring officiating.
Burial will be in Markham Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Homes of Walnut Ridge Lynn, AR.
