On August 1st, Zachary Scott Plaster, age 23 of Walnut Ridge was arrested and charged with Felony Lottery Fraud after authorities say he was caught on video surveillance stealing more than $5,400 worth of lottery tickets from his place of employment.

According to court affidavits, the manager of the Flash Market #39, located on 201 NW 4th St., advised authorities that Plaster had stolen $5,492 worth of lottery tickets from the business. Plaster would allegedly pull lottery tickets from the rolls of tickets and scratch them off without paying for them and then paying out the winning tickets to himself.

Investigators say video shows Zachary pulling tickets on several occasions.

Plaster was arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center.
