On July 28th, Jonathan Lynn, 31 of Long Lane, MO, was extradited to Izard County from Calloway County Missouri.
On October 3rd, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office was called to an address on Pleasant Grove Road in Brockwell where the victim in this case reported a theft of a gooseneck trailer from his residence and the theft of his bulldozer from his farm down the road. During the investigation, the victim stated he believed a former employee, Jonathan Lynn, was involved because Lynn was the only other person who knew where the bulldozer was located. The bulldozer was not visible from the house. The victim told deputies that Lynn had recently been in trouble for hot checks and had moved to Missouri where he was currently on probation or parole. Law enforcement authorities in Missouri were contacted and asked to assist in this case.
On October 19th, 2023, an investigator from the Missouri State Police notified the Izard County Sheriff’s Office that Lynn had been involved in a vehicle accident in Missouri and that Lynn had a trailer with him that was towed. The trailer was confirmed to be the one stolen in Brockwell. However, the trailer was determined to be a complete loss due to the accident. The next day, authorities with the Webster County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri were able to locate the stolen bulldozer.
Lynn is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on August 14th.
