On July 18, 2024, Izard County Chief Deputy Steve Davidson took a report of a vehicle break-in and theft of over $40,000 from a residence on Circle Drive in Mount Pleasant.
During the investigation the victim’s roommate, Jessica Adams, was interviewed.
Due to information gained during the interview, along with other information gathered in the investigation, Shae George was developed as a suspect.
Shae was located and interviewed. During a second interview, George admitted to his part of the crimes and led investigators to multiple locations where he had hidden the money. A large portion of the money was recovered.
Information was also gathered from Adams’ and George’s phones showing the two worked together on these crimes.
As a result, on July 22nd Jessica Adams, 39 of Mount Pleasant, was formally charged with theft of property, a class b felony; Shae George, 44 of Heber Springs, was formally charged with breaking or entering, a class d felony, and theft of property, a class b felony. Both will appear in the Izard County Circuit Court.
