Several fire departments in western Lawrence County were busy clearing storm damage after thunderstorms moved through on Tuesday evening.
High winds and several inches of rain caused several trees to fall across roadways. Smithville Fire and Strawberry Fire were called to a tree across the highway near the Jesup intersection, another across the road on Wheel Street. Saffell Fire was dispatched to a tree across a county road.
Lawrence County Road Department was also notified.
No injuries have been reported.
