Paul Jeffrey Combs 64, of Pocahontas went to his heavenly home surrounded by his loved ones on July 11, 2024, at his home. He was born in Newport on August 7, 1959, to Robert Combs and Wanda Nunemaker Combs.

Jeff loved his family, his friends and his church. He always had something he was working on; he didn’t like to be idle. When he worked in his garage there was always music playing. His favorite was Bluegrass Gospel. There was not much that Jeff couldn’t fix, or he figured it out somehow. He sure was patient. He was dedicated to his job and always gave 100% to his employer. He was willing to work on anything that was asked of him. Before he got sick, he was very active in church. He was a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, worked with children’s church and anything that needed to be fixed or done he worked on it. Jeff was an electrician, so he was able to help with projects at the church or give a hand to anyone that needed help. He was a wonderful man, who loved the Lord. He set the best example for his family and friends. Jeff was very loved by Claudia, for 45 years and will be greatly missed.

Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Bryan Combs.

Jeff leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Claudia Liu Combs of the home; son, Josh Combs and wife Kandace of Pocahontas; granddaughter Keegan (Kinley) Combs of Pocahontas; parents, Robert and Wanda Combs of Tuckerman; sister, Melody Wayland of Newport; uncles, Danny Nunemaker, Paul Combs and Leon Combs all of Tuckerman and one aunt, Marsha (Butch) Bradley of Jonesboro. Jeff also leaves behind several nieces, cousins, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held 12:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024, with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 PM with Kevin Barnett, Randy Scott and David Copeland officiating. All services will be held at Sutton Free Will Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Sutton Cemetery under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
