Authorities in Cherokee Village along with the Arkansas State Police are conducting an investigation after a body was discovered by police.
Authorities say on July 8th skeletal remains were found in an abandoned house on Saginaw in Cherokee Village.
Law enforcement was sent to the address for a welfare check. Authorities say a door was open, the officer made entry and found the remains.
The victims remains have been sent to the state crime lab for identification and cause of death.
