Our Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) division, along with JPD SWAT, arrested two individuals for distributing or possessing material depicting sexual conduct involving children.
First up is Stuart Williamson. In July 2023, our department received a cyber tip from Google Photos infrastructure reporting that two images of child exploitation were uploaded using a Google account registered to Mr. Williamson. The tip was initially sent to a sheriff’s department in Missouri before an address was traced to a Jonesboro location. On July 8, 2024, a bench warrant was issued, and Williamson was taken into custody. He appeared before Judge Bowling and received a $250,000 cash surety bond.
Our 2nd arrestee is Ethan Richardson. A detective with Paso County, Florida, contacted our ICAC Division detective, who discovered nude images of a 13-year-old female passed around through a group chat. A provided phone number identified Mr. Richardson as a suspect. An arrest warrant for Possession or use of child sexual abuse material was issued, and officers took Mr. Richardson into custody on July 9, 2024. He also appeared before Judge Bowling and received a $250,000 cash surety bond. Both men are not allowed to have any electronic device that can store and/or record still images or videos.
