Update: Sedgwick Fire was released from the scene shortly after 10 am.
Chief Heath Ring with the Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department told us the pilot was transported by MedicOne Ambulance Service to a Jonesboro hospital for treatment.
Three different utility lines have been damaged by the crash including some high voltage transmission lines. Craighead Electric and Entergy are reporting outages and have crews moving into the area.
FAA and other authorities have been notified of the crash and will conduct the investigation.
Officials are on scene of a small plane crash off Hwy 228 toward Light.
*At 8:53am Lawrence County Dispatch was notified of a small plane crash, the pilot was said to be injured but alert. Medical units Walnut Ridge were requested.
Also damaged in the crash was several power lines. Utility companies have been notified.
No names have been released at this time.
