Court records show that Third Judicial Circuit Court Judge Rob Ratton sentenced Paul Eugene Jackson, Jr. to 36 months’ probation after he pleaded guilty to felony fleeing. Jackson Jr. will also have to pay the court
$965 in court costs and fees in $100 monthly installments beginning Aug. 1st.

Motorcycle Pursuit Wrecks Out Near Randolph/Lawrence County Line

A motorcycle pursuit on Tuesday ended with a Black Rock man in jail.
At 12:35pm on Tuesday, the Black Rock Police observed a red and black motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 361 in Black Rock.
The rider fled at reported speeds of over 80 mph as BRPD attempted to stop the motorcycle.
A second unit from Black Rock joined the pursuit, Lawrence County units and Randolph County were notified of the chase.
Officers reported the fleeing motorcycle to be passing on double yellow and driving at excessive speed as the suspect attempted to elude police.
Shortly after the pursuit began, officers notified dispatch that the motorcycle had wrecked out at Cedar Road in Randolph County.
The suspect identified as Paul Eugene Jackson was arrested by Black Rock Police.
Officers advised the suspect had sustained minor injuries and requested medics to the scene, ProMed Ambulance was dispatched.
Jackson was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center.
Cook’s Towing was requested to remove the motorcycle.
Jackson is currently on probation/parole for numerous absconding and drug charges.
