A Mammoth Spring Arkansas man has been charged for his involvement in a one vehicle crash that killed a 17 year old female in January 2024.

Evan French, age 43 of Mammoth Spring is charged with one count of negligent homicide, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and driving while intoxicated.

Authorities say on January 17th 2024, French was driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle on an icy roadway. The Chevrolet truck then crossed the center line and went off the side of Hwy 289 near Mammoth Spring, hitting a concrete culvert and overturning, partially ejecting the 17 year old female. She died at the scene.

French’s blood alcohol level was 0.17%, more than twice the legal limit.
