James C. Ruble, 82, passed away on June 17, 2024, in Ft Worth, Texas. Born on December 14, 1941, in Clinton, Arkansas, James led a life marked by dedication to his family, his career, and his faith.
James graduated from Harding College, where he laid the foundation for his future career as an accountant. He spent many years in the profession, where his meticulousness and integrity were highly valued.
A man of deep faith, James was actively involved in the Church of Christ throughout his life, attending congregations in Memphis, TN, Pine Bluff, AR and finally in Ft Worth, TX. James served as an elder at congregations in Monticello, AR, Philadelphia, MS and Brandon, MS. His commitment to his faith community was evident in his participation and service.
James had a passion for the outdoors, often found working in his yard, a hobby that brought him immense joy and satisfaction. He was also an avid sports fan, particularly of college sports, cheering with fervor for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory.
His wife of 61 years, Betty.
His son Steve and daughter-in-law Cindy.
His son David.
His daughter Anna and son-in-law Brian Landry.
James also has 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Granddaughters Lauren Williams (and grandson-in-law C Jay Williams) and Morgan Hilton (and grandson-in-law Ryan Hilton), and Alex Brown (and grandson-in-law Joe Brown);
Grandsons James Ruble (and granddaughter-in-law Rachel Ruble) and Scott Lundy.
And great-grandchildren Kamari Williams and Ivy Ruble.
James’s life was a testament to his values of hard work, family, and faith. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 10 A.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
