On Thursday, Hoxie Police and Arkansas Probation and Parole conducted a compliance check at a residence located off Texas Street in Hoxie.
Authorities say the compliance check resulted in the discovery of controlled substances and paraphernalia.
Authorities discovered 12 grams of methamphetamine, individually bagged for distribution, 1.2 grams of marijuana, two marijuana pipes, three methamphetamine pipes, and other paraphernalia with residue.
Also discovered was a pill bottle containing 37 Xanax pills, a set of digital scales, and $248 in cash, all were confiscated.
David Gaither, of Hoxie and Lesia Barton, of Hoxie were arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (greater than 10 grams), Possession of Marijuana (less than 4 ounces), Possession of Schedule 4 Substances, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Gather has more than dozen bookings ranging from battery to drug possession. Lesia Barton has more than two dozen bookings ranging from theft to drug charges.
Both were booked into the Lawrence County Detention Center.
