Plans are in place to make improvements to the Imboden fishing pond on Hwy 63.
The pond according to Public Works Director Nick Bagwell was restocked in late April and houses a variety of fish including bass, catfish, bream and baitfish.
The city has plans to add a ADA compliant 16’ fishing dock and a railed walkway.
The city pond has seen several advances since first constructed, a well was drilled in 2018 to maintain the water level, structure has been added for a better fish habitat. The city pond currently has 4 pavilions with picnic tables and is open all year for all ages.
The City of Imboden is accepting sponsors for the new handicap dock. Sponsor slots are available for $150 each, this includes a sign recognizing you or your business’s donation.
