Around 5:00 am on Thursday the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of a two vehicle accident near Black Rock involving a motorcycle and pickup truck with injuries.

Black Rock Police, Black Rock Fire, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies and medical units from ProMed Ambulance of Imboden and MedicOne Ambulance from Walnut Ridge were all dispatched to the scene.

The accident was located north of the Rest Area on Hwy 63 between Black Rock and Imboden.

Officers from Black Rock PD arrived on scene and immediately requested two medical helicopters to the scene and began setting up landing zones near the accident.

Traffic was stopped or delayed for nearly an hour and a half as the injured were flown from the scene and the highway was cleared.

Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden was requested to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles.

No names have been released, the accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
