The Arkansas State Police identified the six people killed earlier this month in a crash that occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Monday, April 15th.
The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 and State Highway 135 in Clay County.
The ASP report says Sonter Andon age 37 of Paragould was northbound when his 2013 Buick failed to yield at the intersection and pulled directly into the path of a 1996 Peterbilt driven by Gerayne L. Poole, age 82 of Piggott.
Both vehicles erupted into flames, the occupants of the Buick were unable to escape.
The victims’ bodies were transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for identification.
The updated ASP report states that Andon died in the crash, along with his passengers Jessica Inek, age 34; Rekinna Alanso, age 65; Santos Andon, age 62; Nisdy Inek, age 36; and a male child, all of Paragould.
The driver of the semi truck suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to a Memphis hospital.
