Around 9am on Sunday, Walnut Ridge Police and Hoxie Police stopped two vehicles believed to be in a theft ring involving large amounts of fuel being stolen recently from Farm Service in Walnut Ridge.
Walnut Ridge Police stopped and detained one vehicle while the second vehicle was stopped after a short pursuit by Hoxie Police.
Authorities gained consent to search the vehicles and were looking for an electronic device (similar to a remote control) that the suspects were using to activate the fuel pumps.
Two suspects were arrested, their vehicles were towed by Cook’s Wrecker Service.
No names have been released at this time, the suspects were transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center.
