Hardy Police and Fire are assisting the Sharp County Sheriffs Dept with an overturned vehicle that ran off the Low water bridge on Griffin Road.
The elderly female driver of the vehicle was rescued from the vehicle and brought to safety by Hardy Fire and Rescue with the assistance of a passing motorist.
Due to safety concerns of the swift water, attempts to recover the vehicle will be postponed until daylight.
This post is for public Awareness as well as hopes to reduce the amount of 911 calls coming in as more traffic increases.
