Noel Vance Cook, 89 of Jonesboro passed away March 5, 2024, at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.

Vance was born on May 13, 1934, to parents William Albert Lee Cook and Iva May Gamble. He served in the United States Army, was a long-time dirt track racer, and truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years, Shirley Lee Blalock; and two brothers, Marvin and Mavrick Cook.

Survivors include his daughters, Staci Lee (Lewis) Smith of Cash, and Traci Lee (Jeff) Rainbolt of Jonesboro; a sister, Sarah Ruth Cook (Joe) Grant of Missouri; four grandchildren, Andy (Cali) Rainbolt, Jeremiah (Lauren) Fielder, Branden (Taylor) Fielder, and Halee (Tyler) Boyd; four great grandchildren, Beckett, Jocelynn, Brinley, Benton, and another great grandson due in July; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and private interment of his cremains.
