According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on Monday February 26th 2024 at approximately 10:40 p.m. Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy was traveling through Corning when he made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a equipment violation. The traffic stop was at the intersection of U.S. 62 and U.S. 67. when the Deputy came in contact with the driver, he advised the driver of why he was stopped and asked for his driver license. The Deputy noticed what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and other illegal items were found. Taken into custody was 54yr. old Terry Lee Garrett of Paragould AR. He was transported to the Clay County Detention Center and booked in on the following charges. Possession of Methamphetamine or Cocaine GT 2GM but LT 10GM , 2 counts of Felony Drug Paraphernalia, No Liability Insurance, Defective Vehicle Equipment.
