Congratulations to Jeremiah Kindy of Benton, AR, for his victory in the Lake Ouachita Bassmaster Open Event held from February 15 to 17! In a field of 199 professional anglers, Jeremiah’s fish-catching abilities and knowledge of the lake were evident as he amassed a three-day weight of 52 pounds and 3 ounces. A well-deserved first-place finish earned him a check for $44,295.
The success of Arkansas pro anglers extended beyond Jeremiah’s triumph. Matt Baker from Glenwood, AR, secured second place with a three-day total of 46 pounds and 13 ounces, earning $17,718. Notable performances from Wayne Dixon (17th), Quincy Houchin (22nd), Greg Bohannon (27th), and Jay Nyce (39th) in the top 45 also resulted in well-deserved checks.
In the co-anglers field, Arkansas anglers continued to excel. Robert Jacuzzi of Mt Ida, AR, claimed first place with a two-day total of 13 pounds and 11 ounces, winning $7,480. Furthermore, 17 Arkansas co-anglers received checks for finishing in the top 40.
