Dolorse Ann Huskey Hatch, 76 of Millington, TN; passed away after a short illness January 26, 2024, in the Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital.
Born March 10, 1947, in Strawberry; daughter of the late Oscar and Opal Thompson Huskey. She was united in marriage to James Hatch on February 18, 1994. Dee was a strong Christian woman who came to know Christ at an early age. She worked as an accountant and controller before retiring in 2007. She adored her family. Dee spent countless hours teaching and playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed nature, gardening, and nurturing her many devoted poodles. Dee was an avid reader her entire life, which fit her curious personality. She had a way of welcoming new friends to her circle that endeared her to so many that she touched. Dee was a truly empathetic person who would help anyone in need. She laughed often and you couldn’t help smiling when you talked with her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Missy Johnson; and a sister, Vina Eagan.
Survivors include her husband, James of the home; a daughter, Lori Deason (Derek) of Bartlett, TN; and two sons, Jimmy Goza (Erika) of Conway, and Kip Hatch (Talitha) of Arlington, TN; five grandchildren, Claire, Ally, Caleb, Anna, and Amanda; a sister, Nell McDoniel of Batesville; a brother, Lavon Huskey (Carolyn) of Saffell; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2024, at 12 P.M. in the Mt. Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Saffell with Bro. David Lawrence and Bro. Bill Irwin officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Brown, Jim Bohanna, Kip Hatch, Terry Kirby, Derek Deason, and Dean Deason. Interment will follow in the Lincoln-Ward Cemetery in Saffell.
Visitation will be from 10 A.M. till 12 P.M. Friday at Mt. Harmony Church.
