At approximately 8:23 a.m., Paragould Emergency Services received multiple 911 calls of a serious crash at the intersection of Hwy 351 and County Road 721. Information obtained in those calls indicated that one vehicle had flipped over and was on fire.
Upon emergency responders’ arrival, one driver was found to have serious injuries, while the other vehicle involved was engulfed in flames making the vehicle inaccessible to those responders first arriving on scene.
At this time we can confirm that there were two fatalities involved in this crash, and that one person has been airlifted to a Memphis hospital for treatment. Identities of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The Arkansas State Police is investigating this crash, and as such, any further information requests should be directed to their agency.
Please keep the families and first responders in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
