Melinda Joann Collins, 54 of Pocahontas, passed away unexpectedly, December 6, 2023, in the Five Rivers Medical Center.
Born July 10, 1969, in Walnut Ridge; daughter of James Oldham and Joanner Simmons. Melinda was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant and worked at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. She enjoyed going on walks, fishing, writing, and yard sales. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and children.
She is preceded by her father; a sister, Vickie Barnes; two brothers, Timothy Oldham, and Bobby Simmons; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Don of the home; mother, Joanner Noble of Hoxie; three sons, Brian Odom of Jonesboro, Keith Collins of Harrisburg, Harley Cullins of Jonesboro; one daughter, Cassii Cullins of Brookland; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:30 P.M. in the Stranger Home Cemetery with Everett Hart and Marvin Marshall officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Odom, Harley Cullins, Dalton Nelson, Rickey Adams, and Waylon Irvin.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 P.M. till 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel.
